In May, the CLAAS Group signed a long-term agreement with Michelin, making it our primary partner. We already know that 50% of tractor tyre purchases are the result of customer choices, with the rest coming from the standard selection.
May also saw the two companies seal their partnership, with a CLAAS delegation made up of the CLAAS Academy, some of the Products team (Vincent Hazenberg and Thomas Dupont) and Caroline Lesert (tyres/wheels Buyer) invited to the Michelin factory in Troyes. The Factory Director presented the company to the CLAAS team before inviting them to discover the Tractor tyre manufacturing process for themselves on a highly personalised tour (CLAAS posters on display along the way, etc.), which was very well-received.

In addition to improving customer/supplier relations, both partners are keen to continue these exchanges. Michelin has talked about offering CLAAS previews of new pneumatic equipment, supplying tools for the training centre and even attending sales network training sessions.
