Supplier “Oscars” awarded in Budapest
True to its motto “Growing Together - Creating Value: First CLAAS Performance”, CLAAS honored its best suppliers in the style of an Oscars ceremony for the fifth time. On this occasion the trophies were presented in the Congress & World Trade Center in Budapest (Hungary). Some 400 “premium suppliers“ from all over the world came to Hungary, where they were afforded the opportunity of experiencing the Factory of the Year 2007, CLAAS Hungaria Kft., in Törökszentmiklós, live. Dr. Theo Freye, Speaker of the Executive Board, spoke to the international guests about how positively the CLAAS Group had performed during the last fiscal year and about the global trends that will determine the future of agriculture.

The “Claas Supplier of the Year 2008” award went to Lippstadt-based Hella KGaA Hueck & Co (www.hella.de). The company has partnered Claas for several years now and manufactures light systems. This partnership with Hella is characterized by a high degree of reliability and a close working relationship on development issues.

Quality: Camoplast Inc., Québec, Canada
Camoplast Inc. from Québec, Canada (www.camoplast.com), supplies caterpillar treads for the Terra Trec system, which is part of CLAAS’ most expensive machine, the Lexion Terra Trec. Despite sharp increases in volumes, Camoplast excelled by maintaining quality at a constant high level and thus made a key contribution to benefiting CLAAS customers.
