Agrostroj – construction of new plant in Russia started

Agrostroj Pelhrimov, a.s. is a Czech supplier of CLAAS for complex weldments components. The company has started construction of a new production plant in Bobrov, Voronezh area in Russia. An invest of 4 billion rubles is planned and about 350 new workplaces will be created.

The cornerstone laying ceremony was held on 20th of May 2016 under the auspices of Mr. Gordeev, Governor of Voronezh, and Mr. Remek, Ambassador of Czech republic in Russia. CLAAS participated as well and has been represented by Mr. Michael Ritter, CFO CLAAS Krasnodar and Mr. Dmitry Ogarkov, Head of Purchasing CLAAS Krasnodar.

CLAAS appreciates the decision to start business in Russia. Roland Sobisch, Head of Purchasing CLAAS Selbstfahrende Erntemaschinen, stated “The decision of Agrostroj to go this direction and to follow CLAAS and other OEMs into Russia shows true entrepreneurship. The long history of strategic exchanges between our companies make it obvious, that there are close interdependencies between Agrostroj and the OEMs, especially with CLAAS.”

The new manufacturing organization “Agrostroj Rus ooo” will start the operation in 2018.
