The Logistics Purchasing department is responsible for purchasing freight and logistics services on a group-wide basis. These include inbound and outbound transport, transport between CLAAS sites and the purchase of logistical services such as container management and warehousing.

The modes of transport used include both rail and land transport as well as air and sea freight.

Due to the seasonal nature of the CLAAS business and the dynamic growth of the company, the logistics service providers used are expected to fulfil high standards of flexibility, reliability and innovation in their logistics processes.
